FRIENDS Has Earned the GuideStar Exchange Gold Participation Level
FRIENDS of Broomfield received the GuideStar Exchange Gold participation level, a leading symbol of transparency and accountability provided by GuideStar USA, Inc., the premier source of nonprofit information. FRIENDS is committed to open and honest information sharing with our donors and stakeholders. Achieving Gold participation level with GuideStar is another step toward greater transparency and accountability.
The GuideStar Exchange is an initiative designed to connect nonprofits with current and potential supporters. With millions of people coming to GuideStar to learn more about nonprofit organizations, the GuideStar Exchange allows nonprofits to share a wealth of up-to-date information with GuideStar’s many audiences.
Each nonprofit in GuideStar’s database has a report – a Web page devoted entirely to the organization so people can more about its mission, vision, and good work. Our partnership with GuideStar allows us to connect with GuideStar’s 7 million annual visitors and also millions of visitors to their partner sites, such as Facebook Causes, Network for Good, Change.Org, and more.

FRIENDS Receives $20,000 Grant from the Daniels Fund
FRIENDS is excited to partner with the Daniels Fund in our efforts to ensure persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities live meaningful and productive lives in the community of their choice. Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need, established the Daniels Fund to provide grants and scholarships in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. General Operating funding from the Daniels Fund will go directly to support all our programs and allow FRIENDS to continue mission related activities designed to improve the lives of young adults with developmental disabilities. Funding will allow us to increase the capacity necessary to maintain quality services, improve efficiencies across all programs, and increase our ability to impact more people.
